Shopping Spree #1 - Autumn + Winter Haul

Today I went shopping with my mum and I loved these new acquisitions I felt a mighty need to share them with you, and I couldn't even wait for the morning.
I don't particularly enjoy being just like the others, which meant I needed something to make this post mine and not just one of the many, so I got this little cute-o-meter to rate the stuff I bought.

It goes from 1 heart - meh - to 7 hearts - hella. I doubt I'll ever rate anything with 1 heart, tho. Let's face it, if I bought it, I obviously like it, but I'm sure it'll be quite fun to get these ratings done and read on how you agree or not with me.

Sorry for the low quality of the pictures but I don't own an expensive camera like most of my colleagues and these were taken under the best light I could find in the house at this time, which is still lousy, and with my phone's cameras (some may seem to have better quality than others, that's a matter of front vs back cameras). Hope you can look past that and love my broke ass nonetheless ♥

Well, the one reason I even went out was to get new jeans, so I'll start with those. Before anything else, you need to know that I am very tall and pretty skinny so finding jeans that actually fit me is harder than finding a demon to sell your soul to (reason #1 why I pretty much got obsessed over dresses a few years ago).

Springfield - €24.99 each
I was really lucky to find these two so called "High Rise Jeans", which actually reach my ankles! I can't remember the last time I bought pants that reached that far down, this is a real issue here and these two were sold the moment they covered my whole legs, and everything else was just bonus. They are both exactly the same kind of pants, only in different colours, hence why they're presented together.
They are not bluntly cute but they do look great on me and make me feel great, which pretty much means they are cute in a way.

As you can see, these have a really high waist line, which is something I absolutely love. Even though I am in fact skinny, I'm anything but fit and I sometimes grow self conscious about my belly, which these are pretty good at covering up. On top of that, there's the fact that you get to sit however you want and you know that the pants are naturally so far up there's no chance your undies will show. Really, I tested that!
Finally, these pants are super elastic and they adapt to my legs like no other, and I have a thing for skinny jeans! I love them to bits already and I can't wait to see how long they'll last, given I'm pretty good at ruining clothes.

Excuse my lack of make-up. I'm sick, I am allowed to be lazy!!!
The next item is the basic grey shirt you see above. It was actually the last thing I picked, mostly because I wasn't meant to bring any shirt home, but perks of having their card happened.
Springfield - €12.99 (ft. bad hair)
The only reason I bought this shirt is that if I added 10€ to my bill, then I wouldn't have to pay for those 10€, so I went to the spinney thing with the shirts "since 9.99€" and picked this one out. It's super simple, just a basic grey shirt with a lacy black stripe on its back. We all can use basic items, so I picked this one over the red one (which was also super cute). The lace on its back makes this the cutest basic shirt I own, but then again, I'm pretty sure this is my only shirt with lacy stuff.

Growing up, I was a tomboy and getting me to wear what society labels as girly stuff was something the gods themselves couldn't get me to do. It wasn't until I was in 8th grade maybe that I actually started caring about my looks a bit more (make up, nail polish, hair, clothes). By then skinny jeans were all over the place and I heard my calling. If I have skinny legs, might as well wear skinny jeans. I haven't worn larger jeans since. The thing is: eventually the whole "pants can't reach my ankles" thing started to annoy me and I'd even get self conscious about my stupid socks or if some leg hair would show down there (since my shoes and my jeans really didn't touch much), so I turned to the one thing that would hide the whole leg: tights, opaque or not, with designs or clear, it didn't matter. If I thought those tights were cute, I would buy them soon as I could, which then led me to also lash out on dresses and skirts and shorts and anything that would normally be miles away from my ankles, because then they'd be where they're supposed to be (maybe a bit shorter, since companies make clothes for short people and I'm anything but, but still).
All of this to say: I couldn't resist and I bought yet another dress.

Springfield - €29.99
This is a super warm dress. I was not expecting that from such a light piece, but it is really hot in there. For the first time ever I bought an L (6) instead of an M (4) because it was super comfy and even though it was a size above mine, it actually fit pretty well and I felt that if I put the other one on it'd just make me feel bad about my tummy. Again, this is a very basic piece, just a plain grey dress which happens to have a super duper cute design. I love the bottom part of it so much! The top is awesome too, but I have a feeling I will end up always wearing my push-up bras with this, because my boobs kinda disappeared there and they are already small enough, I don't need a dress to erase them from existence. It does make me feel like a fairy though, which is awesome!

Of course, this dress couldn't go without some tights, and I obviously ended up buying a pair.
Calzedonia - €9.99 (package picture)
Well, I took one look at those ribbons and decided I needed to have these in my life. They are super adorable and I haven't had tights with ribbons since like 2013, so I miss it a bunch to feel that kind of cute.
These tights are brilliant. They're super strong, super resistant and yet I was afraid to put them on for the picture because I know I'm a disaster and right now my nails are a mess. Pro: I'll feel extra sexy whenever I have these on, and that by itself is worth it; Con: Everyone will judge me and label me as a slut for wearing them. Bottom Line: I don't give a flying damn. I'll wear the hell out of these and I'll love every moment of it. Haters gonna' hate and that won't stop me from shining.

Tell me that's not cute. I dare you. (I do mean the tights not my weirdo hand.)
Last, but definitely not least, I got three pairs or fuzzy socks, which so happen to be my first ever fuzzy socks.
Springfield - €4.99 each
Like the grey shirt, these were part of a "3 for the price of 2" kind of sale that actually ended up being "3 for the price of none" because of the perks in having their card - random discounts. I honestly wasted more time picking these three pairs of socks than anything else.
I ended up sticking to the hearts and stars and our friendly neighbor polar bear, and I'm still wearing the latter. These are definitely as comfy as they are adorable and I'll definitely buy more.

Sorry that my feet look weird but a) perspective and b) they're feet.
I hope you enjoyed your stay!
